Outside Areas
The Gîte
The gîte has convenient private off-road parking for two vehicles.
The gîte has been constructed in the typical Périgordian style and has been creatively converted from a former 17th century outbuilding. The gîte has been constructed with beautiful thick limestone walls, helping the gîte to stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. The roof has been finished with lovely complimentary terracotta tiles. The main entrance, at the front of the gîte, is provided via double patio doors. There is also an additional patio door to the side of the gîte, giving convenient access to the dining terrace outside. The main windows and doors all feature attractive, fully functioning wooden shutters, adding character and charm the gîte.
Shaded Dining Terrace
Shaded terrace area for dining al fresco, or just relaxing and enjoying your beverage of choice … Especially after a long tiring day of doing the sites!
The gîte features a shaded terrace area for dining al fresco, complete with dining table, seating for up to five people (double bedroom, twin bedroom and travel cot) and a BBQ.
The dining terrace is conveniently accessed from the dining area, inside the gîte, via an additional patio door located on the side of the gîte.
The Kettle BBQ by Weber, as claimed in their own words, “The gold standard in grilling” … And our guests certainly seem to agree.
In the summer months, this is a lovely place to sit the morning and read a book or catch up on the daily news, whilst you tuck into that quintessential French breakfast item - the ‘croissant’.
Secluded Garden
A stunning Autumn morning, October 2015 at 10:00am. The birds were twittering away merrily and the temperature had reached just under 23oC!
The gîte has its own private garden and it is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. It has been enclosed with high paneled fencing, providing you with safety and privacy.
The garden has a large mature walnut tree and also cherry, plum and apple trees. Please help yourself to the bounty on offer … If you can beat the birds and wildelife to it!
The gîtes garden is an ideal space for playing some family games and kicking a ball about, or in the summer heat, retreat from the sun and seek some shade under the leafy walnut tree.
Convenient Parking
Convenient private off-road parking for two vehicles.
There is ample private parking space for two, if not, three vehicles. Just back your vehicles boot up to the front door and you can unload in minutes. Perfect after a long haul drive!
The graveled drive also makes an ideal ‘court’, for that classic French pastime … Of course, I am referring to that popular ball game called ‘Pétanque’.
Laundry Drying Green

To the rear of the gîte there is a laundry drying green, with a rotary clothes dryer and plenty of pegs.
On a lovely hot summers day your ‘smalls’ can be dry in less than as 15 minutes!
